The General hospital Ussa located in Lissam the headquarters of Ussa LGA, constructed by the Late Pharmacy Danbaba Suntai has been abandoned for 10 years now.
Just recently the Executive Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas begins the construction of the hospital
Our reporter in Lissam reports that, work has started about two months ago and it is expected that early next year the Hospital will be completed and commence operations.
Last week Saturday, the Commissioner for Social Justice and Re-integration Mrs Dr. Filister Irarimam Musa visited the hospital and express satisfaction with the level of work done, in her remarks she said "I visited the Ussa General Hospital which is undergoing renovation, and I am impressed with the level of work done"
According to her, There is every assurance that in the shortest possible time, the Hospital will be completed, equipped, furnished, commissioned and put to work.
She encourage the people of the area to keep supporting the administration of Dr. Agbu Kefas and the People's Democratic Party for more dividends of democracy.
Also yesterday, the new Executive Council Chairman of Ussa LGA visited the General Hospital to witness the project.
According to the contractor and the engineers on site, the ongoing project will be completed early next year.
The Chairman Hon. Amb. Peter Shenwun Stephen appreciates the efforts of the Contractor and his Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas the Executive Governor of Taraba State for the steps taken so far to reconstruct the abandoned projects in Ussa LGA.
